It’s shaping up to be a big weekend for Formula One leader Lando Norris, and a frustrating one for four-time champion Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver widened the gap to teammate Oscar Piastri to nine points Saturday by winning the sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix and followed it up by also taking pole position for today’s grid.

Piastri crashed out in damp conditions at Interlagos, meaning he is now further behind his team-mate in the 2025 Formula 1 title fight
