George Clooney swiftly realised he didn't need to be doubtful after all, with the actor going on to marry human rights lawyer Amal Clooney in 2014

George Clooney recalled meeting now-wife Amal Clooney and how he 'didn’t really think I’d have much of a chance with her because I was 17 years older and she seemed to have everything she needed.'

Amal and George first met in July 2013, introduced by a mutual friend over dinner at his home in Lake Como, and became engaged in April of the following year. George and Amal were married in September 2014 and welcomed twins Alexander and Ella, 7, in June 2017.
