A fragile ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia largely held on Tuesday despite renewed skirmishes along the border, following a U.S.-backed diplomatic push to halt the deadly conflict.

The leaders of Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to meet to negotiate a ceasefire, according to a social media post by United States President Donald Trump on Saturday.

Negotiations are ongoing between the militaries of Thailand and Cambodia on Tuesday, a Thai army spokesman said, even as the Thai side accused Cambodian troops of multiple attacks in violation of a ceasefire that came into effect at midnight.
