Southern California braces for more rain

Southern California is bracing for heavy rain, gusty winds and cooler temperatures as a Pacific storm, fed by an atmospheric river, moves inland through the region.
The heaviest amounts of rain are expected to come through Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The slew of warnings and advisories comes as an atmospheric river moves out of the region after slamming the Golden State over the weekend. Another storm is approaching California from the northwest and is expected to bring heavy rain and mountain snow to much of the state beginning on Wednesday night and lasting through the end of the week.
Temperatures have chilled with the latest storm. While the L.A. coast and San Gabriel Valley on Monday reached the mid-60s, due to late arriving rain, most of L.A. County’s coastal areas and valleys “struggled to get out of the 50s,” the weather service said.
Impacts from the incoming storm will hit nearly the entire state of California later this week, only days after flooding rainfall.
Northern California will see another round of rain and snow Monday, following a previous weather system that soaked the region.
Some areas have seen more than 10 inches of rain. More showers are expected all week, with another storm heading into the area late in the week.
