For the second time in a month, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon has questioned whether the San Francisco 49ers will ultimately regret quarterback Brock Purdy's blockbuster contract.

Before Brock Purdy became a franchise quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, they looked to be in trouble. It was 2022, and both Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance battled injuries. The 49ers had no choice but to turn to the seventh-round pick, Mr. Irrelevant, out of Iowa State. That couldn't work out, could it?

Brock Purdy became the latest San Francisco 49ers star to join the fatherhood club. Purdy's wife Jenna gave birth to the couple's first child, Millie Joleen Purdy. Purdy left the team late last week for his daughter's birth before returning to practice on Sunday.
