Hunter Dobbins said his father is a "diehard" Red Sox fan, learning to dislike the Yankees as a kid growing up.

After declaring he'd rather retire than play for the Yankees, Hunter Dobbins came through in his first start in the Bronx. The Red Sox bats also hit five home runs to pick up the series win.

The righthander was quoted by the Boston Herald on Saturday saying: "If the Yankees were the last team to give me a contract, I'd retire."
