Interesting park with a suspension bridge, trails and waterfalls and an ecology center.

Used our transport day pass to get the metro, waterbus and bus to the canyon. Long walk from the bus stop. Scary suspension bridge, but lovely walks through the woods. Many people in the pools in …Full review by vlr49

Got the bus from downtown Vancouver with my daughter. Bus services efficient and well priced. We walked across the suspension bridge which had amazing views in both directions. A short walk to the ‘3…Full review by Clive M

So we opted for Lynn Canyon Park and Suspension Bridge instead of the Capilano Park and Suspension Bridge just for the huge price difference. Lynn Canyon is free! I did my homework beforehand and rea…Full review by Jay B
Hi. We are from Australia and going to be in Vancouver in late October next year. This looks like great pace to visit. I will be 76 by then so need to know how strenuous the walk is. Even just the first couple of kilometres. Will it be cold then?

Sorry, I hadn't checked my emails. Mid-October does start getting cool but we have had some shifts in our climate. It's still cooler now in March. I think layering is a good way to ensure adequate weather but if it's rainy, then it's muddy. We don't see snow that early usually and wearing good shoes with strong ankle support is helpful. A good walking stick or Nordic trekking poles is nice too. Glad you can come.
We will be staying "downtown" in Vancouver near the library, how would we get to Lynn Canyon. We would appreciate any other ideas about any other free attractions accessible by public transport.

Yes public transportation will take you there! Enjoy the sea bus across the inlet and follow the people up to the buses. Take a Lynn Valley bus! Sorry not sure of the number! A bit of a walk when you get off, but worth it! I have noticed there are many tourists just now so you will not get lost! Enjoy the area! It’s beautiful!
If we go here in September should we be aware of bears? I am a bit nervous of encountering one.
